Gary R. Kowalski, Jr., 42, of Scranton, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday May 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.
Born in Scranton he was the beloved son of Gary R., Sr. and Kathy Fox Kowalski, Scranton, a graduate of West Scranton HS, Class of 2000 and attended Penn State University. Gary was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Scranton, a member of IAM AFL/CIO Union, Local Lodge #847 and employed by General Dynamics at the time of his death.
Gary enjoyed a deep love for the outdoors, sports, and cherished the time he spent with his many close friends and large devoted family. He will be fondly remembered for his compassion for others and his infectious laughter.
Along with his parents he is survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and was preceded in death by this maternal grandparents John and Hilda Scott Fox and paternal grandparents Walter and Francine Vitris Kowalski.
In keeping with Gary’s wishes private funeral services will be conducted with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Richard Fox at St. Patrick’s Church with internment at the convenience of the family in Cathedral Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Donahue Funeral Home, 303 S.
