Ann O’Neill Nolan

1930 – 2026

It is with sadness but with an appreciation of a life well lived that we announce the passing of Ann O’Neill Nolan on February 4, 2026. Ann was married for 58 years to Robert E. Nolan, Jr., who passed away December 2010. Born in Scranton Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Nora Hennigan O’Neill; a 1948 graduate of St. Paul’s High School and a 1952 graduate of Marywood University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. Since graduation from Marywood, Ann played a critical role in developing the Class of ’52 Scholarship while serving on many Marywood committees including the Capital Campaign regional committee and Alumni Homecoming Committee, in addition to being a Class Agent. In 2007 she was presented with the Sister Denis Donegan Award for Long Term Service to Marywood. She was also a past president of the Saint Andrea’s Society, served on the Board at the St. Joseph’s Center and was a member of the Church of St. Gregory in Clarks Green.

Ann is survived by her daughters Nancy Rosenbluth (Lee), of Bryn Mawr, PA; Mariclare Basalyga, North Wales, PA; Kathy Barrett (Shawn) of Clarks Summit, PA; Patti Greenberg (Martin) of Bryn Mawr, PA; and Peggy Tripp (Joe) of Falls Church, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons Michael and Robert III, and brother Dr. Joseph P. O’Neill.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Clarks Summit Senior Living and the staff from Traditional Home Health and Hospice.

Ann’s funeral is scheduled for April 2026 at The Church of St. Gregory in Clarks Green, PA. Visitation will be at 10AM followed by the funeral Mass at 11AM with internment private at the convenience of the family at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow, PA.
