Patricia Lojewski McCready, 76, aresident of Taylor, passed away at Geisinger CMC on Monday after a briefillness. She and her loving husband Ronald celebrated their 59th wedding anniversaryon April 4, 2023.
Born in New York City, she was the daughterof the late Bronislaus B. and Mary V. Boncal-Lojewski, graduated fromWashington Irving High School in New York, was of the Catholic faith and priorto her retirement she worked as a bank teller and later as an office manager Doctor’soffices in Pennsylvania. Patricia liveda life of joy devoted to her family and friends and was known as a keen homedecorator. She will be dearly missed by her family.
In addition to her loving husband sheis survived by her daughters Cynthia M. Rizzo, NC and Sarah J. McCready,Effort, PA; her son Christopher A. McCready, VA; a brother Robert Lojewski, NJ;10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents shewas preceded indeath by her son Michael A. McCready (2021), grandson Isaiah McCready (2020)and a sister Susan Lojewski.
The family will greet friends Saturday2 to 4 PM at the Donahue Funeral Home, 303 South Main Avenue, Scranton, PA18504 with services at 4:00 PM celebrated by Deacon Peter Rinaldi, St. Ann’s Basilica.
In keeping with Patricia’swishes, cremation will follow the service and internment will be at theconvenience of the family.
